We are running art making workshops throughout this exhibition and open weekend in the Turkish Baths so that everyone can respond creatively to this amazing building. Hanaa Cara has made a zine that will explain how we responded to Victoria Baths during our residency to help to inspire people to create their own micro residency during their visit.
Collage making – the swimming pool will be filled for the swim for restoration, help us make a big collage in response to this event and this magnificent building. Free.
Sketchbook challenge – Jackson’s Art has kindly given us 20 sketchbooks that we would love to see filled with people’s own responses, notes and drawings as they take themselves off around the baths to sketch. Free.
Experimental film and sound and contact performance workshops – suitable for older kids and adults, these workshops will take you on a guided journey around the baths using film and sound to collect and record your impressions. These will be used to create a combined artwork afterwards. (£2 booking fee). Details are below:
