This painting, Fait Accompli was a turning point and marked the end of my Oceans Apart series of abstract paintings about windows during lockdown. I’ll be talking about this painting at the opening of the Catapult on 1st October 2o22 from 7pm at Whitworth Locke hotel in Manchester. Exhibition continues until 29th October 2022.
13-16 October is the Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair at Victoria Baths and I will be cosying up one of the rooms in the first floor Superintendents Flat. My mid century modern lounge will be showcasing a brand new range of soft furnishings made from my original paintings, printed onto velvet in collaboration with the brilliant makers at Kitsch Republic. I’ve been programming this space on behalf of the Great Northern Warehouse for the past year using the Dez Rez Projects platform and have had the pleasure of working with a different artist every month. Finally I’ve put one of my paintings in at the very end. Your land is my land was recently exhibited at the Beep Painting Biennial in Swansea.
